I’ve come such a long way and I am not about to let people start ruining all the progress I have made. It really is true, you find out who your real friends are and yes, it’s sad to see people you care about leave, but if they leave, they are not worth it. It just means they don’t care about you, and you’ve got to let go. I may not have all of my real friends close by, but I do have them. Distance doesn’t mean a damn thing. I am stronger than I think, and I can handle anything that comes my way.

But when your home is the place that you’ve been hurt the most, the simple act of returning becomes a painful act of regressing. Can someone really forge ahead by going back? They cannot. The only way to move forwards is to move on. As nice as it is to be home, I love my city….it hurts. Boston will always have my heart but I have go to move on. When the times comes and I get to graduate UVM, I will get my well deserved fresh start.
